Sweet Peas

This morning the outside temperature was 54 degrees so summer is over and the vegetables are going to die soon, especially the cucumber plants. I'll be able to pick a cucumber here and there for salad but I don't know for how long.

In the meantime, this cool weather is perfect to plant flowers that need maturing in cool weather such as poppies and sweet peas. Ideally, the seeds of these flowers should have started sooner but here I am.

Soaking sweet pea seeds before sowing.

Vivid cobalt blue from my borage plant, I believe it turns bluer as the weather turns colder.
