State of the Garden

This morning was pretty nippy so I didn't go outside to the garden until after I'd finished a meeting with my work group(virtual). There is less than a month and a half 'til Thanksgiving. I usually have tons of vegetables for this feast. I usually buy the turkey or ham and pick fresh vegetables from my garden. So it's important that I know what I have already planted and what I can plant at this late hour to get there. Here is what the state of the Garden is.

Kohlrabi is still a few months a way from been edible, besides I don't serve kohlrabi for Thanksgiving, it does not go well with it. I'll have to purchase brussel sprouts from the market as a substitute.

I just planted fava beans on this bed, mostly for soil improvement since my family is not too fond of these beans, but I can use them for some Persian rice recipes.

Cauliflower started too late for Thanksgiving

Tomatoes from the newest bed, look promising

The stock that I planted a few weeks back seems to be doing really well. Good thing that I did separate them so their roots won't be clustered together. I also put some poppy flower seeds down here. I can't wait for some surprises.

Two types of kales are coming up: Kale Italian Nero Toscana
& Kale Red Winter.

collard greens

Asian Spinach

Lettuce

Second fall crop of raspberries.

Growing in a container, I'll probably move these plants to the ground later.

Two more cucumbers to be picked on this plant.

I played God(or bee) this morning on this cucumber plant.

The second pea bed is doing really well.

See the young onion and garlic coming up. I also planted some beetroot and leek(American flag) wherever I found an empty spot. I try to push the limit on planting space, my garden lets me know when enough is enough.
