Charleston Grey vs Sugar Baby

Today, it looks like it's going to rain so I had to pick my Charleston Grey watermelon. I was going to pick this melon this weekend for the Labor Day barbecue.

Here is what it looks like inside. It's pretty ripe for a large melon and I read that this melon has a pinkish color.

I have to say that the Sugar Baby won the contest in term of sweetness. Next year, I definitely would grow more of it. The Charleston Grey is pretty sweet considering that I did not pick it the optimum time. However, it's not as sweet compared to Sugar Baby. But my kid prefers the larger melon.
