Giant pumpkin
I have been busy harvesting melons and tomatoes. I also managed to grow a Dill's giant pumpkin plant. Here is a picture of a baby giant pumpkin. Looking forward to Halloween!
I live near the coast in SoCal and I have been gardening organically for nearly 20 years. Recently, I expanded my effort to vermi compost, where just about everything goes into my worm bins. I love the idea of living in a farm but for now, this is where it is, a tiny urban plot. Feeding my family from a tiny plot of land has been my goal for the last 10 years, besides, fresh picked fruit & vegetables always taste so much better than anything bought from a supermarket.
